Light from the Edge: Where the Side View 1206 SMD LED Does Its Best Work

As devices get thinner, light has to come from the side. The Side View 1206 SMD LED emits sideways instead of upward, letting designers slip bright illumination into ultra-slim panels where a top-emitting LED simply won't fit.

One Model, Many Slim-Light Scenarios

• LCD Backlighting — edge-lit illumination for displays, meters and control panels.
• Indicator Lights — status and power indicators on appliances and consumer electronics.
• Slim Panels — light guides in thin keypads, switches and dashboard surfaces.
• Automotive Interiors — accent and button lighting where vertical space is tight.
• Wearables & Portables — compact glow for ultra-thin portable devices.

Why Designers Choose This Model

Side emission lets light travel along a light guide, so one small LED can illuminate a wide, even panel — saving components and keeping housings thin. With San'an chip reliability, strong anti-static ability and stable color output, the Side View 1206 SMD LED keeps backlit displays bright and uniform across the whole product line.
